Many Dutch secondary schools also teach computer science in some form. It is not a mandatory subject, however, and there is no fixed curriculum to follow. Instead, schools can decide on their own which topics to fill the subject with. We believe Groove would be an excellent candidate for such a topic. Due to the graphical nature of graph transformation, it is relatively easy to use. Also, it is a good example of what computer science entails at the university.

For this purpose, I have developed a teaching module for Groove, which is to be published at the website 'Informatica Actief'. At this lunchmeeting, I will introduce this teaching module.
