Many new languages, including advanced-dispatching languages, are implemented as extensions of existing languages. Programs written in such a new language are transformed to the form which does not completely contain source-level concepts after compilation. This problem decreases the comprehensibility of the debugging information generated from the compiled program. I have worked on solving this problem for the last four years. I designed and implemented dedicated debugging facilities that are used before, during, and after the execution of advanced-dispatching programs.
