I hope to tell something about Puptol (abstract of WIP paper below), and if there is interest, also spend some words on the new(ish) FMT web site, and in particular on how you can contribute to it.

About Puptol: We describe an approach to fight the loss of intellectual effort and the low standards for tool experimentation in computer science that are caused by the overhead involved in disseminating prototype academic (command-line) tools for wider use and inspection. For this purpose we propose a light-weight, flexible framework to make such tools available via web forms. A tool author can instantiate the framework by installing the tool on a web server and providing meta-data in a predefined format. This meta-data encodes the user interface elements for tool input and output to be put on the web form, and the connection to the actual invocation of the tool; it also includes a mechanism to embed the form into a surrounding page.
